Daily vehicle guide prices

The rate is not multiplied by the number of guests. All vehicle options are subject to confirmation, and luggage can change which model is suitable. These are Serendib Local planning estimates, not market-wide averages or guaranteed fares.

What a 5, 7 or 10 day trip could cost

A seven-day sedan estimate is $59 × 7 = $413 for the vehicle. This does not include your seven-day holiday's hotels, food, tickets or activities. Agree which days you need the car: a beach day with no driving does not automatically reduce a multi-day hire unless the quote says it does.

Sharing a car: what does the estimate mean per person?

For two adults sharing a sedan for seven service days, the transport guide total is USD $413 for the vehicle, equivalent to $206.5 each if split equally. The booking is still quoted per vehicle. Your hotels, meals and activities are extra, and the actual car must fit both passengers and their luggage.

Why two routes can receive different quotes

A seven-day journey with several long transfers needs a different assessment from seven days spent around two nearby bases. Send the overnight towns, any early departures, planned detours and the final drop-off. We assess the complete route against the hours and distance allowance before confirming the amount.

If you want several beach days without a driver, ask us to compare continuous hire with separate transfers. Do not assume unused hours or kilometres can be exchanged for a discount: the written quote must specify which days and services are included.

Included in the proposed transport quote

• Private vehicle, driver and fuel on the agreed route.
• A planning allowance of 8 hours and an average of 150 km a day over a multi-day hire.
• Driver meals and accommodation, ordinary parking and tolls on that route.

Every inclusion is confirmed in your written quote. An average distance allowance does not mean any single long day is practical. Discuss unusually early starts, long transfers, extra waiting or a route extension in advance.

Keep these costs separate

Budget separately for your accommodation, meals, attraction entry, specialist guides, train tickets, safari jeeps and other activities. Additional kilometres, hours, unusual parking or route changes must be priced and agreed before they are added. Airport and point-to-point transfers receive their own destination-specific quote.

Compare quotations on the same basis

Ask each provider to quote the same dates, overnight bases, guest/luggage numbers, vehicle type and stops. Then check fuel, driver costs, parking/tolls, included hours and kilometres, final currency/amount, extra charges, and payment/cancellation conditions. A lower headline rate can cover a different service.

A checklist for comparing driver quotes

Is the daily rate also an airport-transfer price?

What should I send to get an accurate price?

Send your travel dates, flight times, pickup and final destination, overnight towns, number of travellers and bags. Include any child-seat request and stops you already know you want. If the route is undecided, start with a suggested itinerary and tell us what you would change.

Our published estimates help you start a conversation. The final quote depends on actual vehicle availability and the agreed journey. No payment is taken through this website.
