Five days: stay with the south coast
The 5 day south coast itinerary uses two bases: Galle and Mirissa. It suits a short visit where you want coastal time and room to explore Galle without adding a hill-country loop. Arrival and departure take two of those days, so check your flight times before counting them as full sightseeing days.
There is a full day in each base without a long transfer. You can ask for short local drives or leave the day open. Water activities and boat trips are not included, and you do not need to add one to make the route worthwhile.
Seven days: culture and tea country
The 7 day Sri Lanka itinerary gives you two nights each around Sigiriya, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. Choosing these three bases leaves more room for the Cultural Triangle and tea hills than trying to add Ella and the coast in the same week.
The final journey back to the airport is a longer road day. Discuss an extra airport-area night if your flight leaves early. Decide which attractions matter most and budget for their entrance tickets or specialist guides separately.
Ten days: add Ella and a coastal finish
The 10 day Sri Lanka itinerary adds two nights in Ella and three around Galle after Sigiriya, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. It offers more variety, with the trade-off of more hotel changes and a longer transfer from Ella to the coast.
Use the full day in Ella and the coastal days to slow down. A train ride is optional and depends on obtaining suitable tickets. The transport plan works by road; it does not depend on a guaranteed train reservation or a safari booking.
Make the route fit your arrival
Share the actual arrival and departure times, not only the calendar dates. Add room for immigration, bags, meals and rest after the flight. If a late arrival makes the first onward drive too long, shorten that day or add a night near the airport.
Weather, road conditions, attraction access and provider availability can affect a plan. Check conditions for your dates before confirming. These routes do not promise identical travel times or activities in every season.

Compare the vehicle rates and sample totals, then decide whether you want the driver throughout or a different arrangement for your stay in one place. Transport, hotels and activities are separate parts of your budget. We confirm the requested service and any optional arrangements in writing.
